Why the Packers COULD be the NFC champs this year

Yes, I talk a lot about the Packers. Yes, I'm biased because I'm a Packers fan. Yes, I do actually believe this based on facts. No, I don't care if you all call me biased. The Packers are sitting at 4-1, atop the NFC North, and looking like a really good team. Aaron Rodgers hasn't played all that well, but yet they are still 4-1. Why is that?

A change in leadership is definitely one of those reasons. Matt LeFleur is a brilliant head coach and I don't think he gets enough credit. The defense has improved tremendously. The Smith brothers are constantly getting pressure on the quarterback and the Packers have the most turnovers in the NFL right now. The rushing game is also really good for Green Bay. Aaron Jones played out of his mind against Dallas, and took pressure off of Rodgers. Aaron no longer has to save the team to win games. Just imagine what will happen once Rodgers has a 300+ yard game with 3 touchdowns. We all know it will happen. This is a much improved defense, with a rushing attack, and still one of the best quarterbacks in football. So Aaron doesn't have to save the team for them to be good. That's one of the reasons I think this a super bowl contender team.

The next is the competition that the Packers face. The Cowboys are extremely overrated and have lost 3 straight, most recently to the Jets. I mean come on the Jets. The Rams have proved that they are not the team from the last year, having lost their last 3 games. The Saints will definitely be the biggest challenger. They are a really complete team and once Drew Brees comes back it will be tough to beat them. I just think that Rodgers will get it going, they have a rushing attack, they have a defense (which is never a luxury that Rodgers has had) and that's why I think they have a real shot to come out of the NFC. Notice how I said NFC and not Super Bowl. So tell me what you think and who you think is going to come out of the NFC. Go Pack Go!
