Creighton to me is doing a lot better than I thought they would this year. At the beginning of the year, I'm being honest I didn't think they would be any good and I thought they would be close to last in the Big East this year. The only question is why are they doing so much better than everyone expected? It's one simple answer. The only thing we can do is shoot the 3. I mean we made a league record 22 3's last night. The 3 is the only thing that gets us through these games. That's why we beat Clemson this year and that's why we were in it the whole game with Gonzaga. There's an issue with only being able to shoot the 3 though. If the 3 is off for the main guys on one night, then how are you going to score? I mean all season they've been getting their points by shooting the 3. I mean I hate to say it but Creighton's defense is terrible and there's no chance we would win a defensive game. Against Nebraska, we really struggled from the outside and that's why we lost. I think the reason we've been better than I expected this year is because of how good we can shoot the 3. I know and I think every other Creighton fan knows that there's going to be games we can't shoot the 3 and it's going to come to bite us. That's what is ultimately is going to keep us out from being a really great time. I mean we were close to beating the number one team in the nation. I think in order to become a better team, we need to improve defensively a lot. We need to get out on 3 pointers and need to strong and rough with guys driving into the paint. On offense, we just need to find more ways to score. Don't just rely on the 3 pointer. Drive inside, get the dunks, lobs, layups, or just go in there, be rough, and catch a foul. I think that if we figure out all these things, then this year or the next years to come we will be a top 10 team in the country. I think the Creighton men's
basketball team has played very well this year and I can't wait to see what else they can do this year!!
