NBA free agency is NUTS

Holy crap there is a lot of stuff to get through. I'm going to go through all the NBA free agency moves and how it will impact the game, their team, and the rest of their league. So let's just jump right into all of this insanity.

The first move, of course, the biggest one. Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and DeAndre Jordan all have signed with the Brooklyn Nets. I personally think it's a good move the Nets, not a good move for Durant. He's always talked about how he wants to go to a team where he's the number one guy, and is the face of the franchise. He knew Kyrie was going there because he wants to play with his friend. Kyrie is a ball dominant point guard which is what KD has had in Curry and Westbrook. Plus Kyrie will get a year without KD as he goes through the rehab process, to take command of the team and become the face of the organization. Brooklyn will probably win a championship at some point with this core here, but this is again going against Durant's goals.

JJ Reddick signed with the Pelicans and I think that is great for them. I have been a fan for the Pelicans since they picked up Lonzo, Ingram, and Hart. Now they add a Zion Williamson and a great shooter in Reddick. This will open up they floor for the Pelicans and they will be an exciting young team to watch.

Kemba Walker is headed to the Celtics. I think Kemba will be a better fit and more better in the playoffs, I do not think this is enough to bring them to championship level though. Although, adding Enes Kanter really helped them I just think there is more pieces to add in everything. They will need to add some more people and factors to get to that level.

The Utah Jazz are going to be a team to be reckoned with. They've had a great off season so far by getting Mike Conley. Now they've gotten Bogdanovic. They've had one of the best off seasons so far and if they continue like this, they will be competing for the championship. Ricky Rubio is going to the Suns where he'll do nothing. Just ruins his chances of winning a championship for now.

The Knicks have fallen to the bottom of the NBA spectrum but hey. They got Julius Randle. Something needs to fix in New York and it needs to happen fast.

Jimmy Butler said he would never wear a Miami Heat jersey. Well he's playing for the Heat now. I like this move, but at the same time I don't think the people of Miami will be the most welcoming to him and this definitely won't get them deep into the post season.

The biggest winner of day one is awarded to the Philadelphia 76ers. They signed Al Horford and have become extremely big. Hopefully they will get back Tobias Harris for some shooting. With Simmons, Embid, and Horford, the 76ers will easily be the best defensive team in the league. The only thing they need to do is sign someone who can shoot outside really well, and they will be the best team in the league. As of now, in my opinion, the 76ers should be the favorite to come out of the East.

Even with KD going to the Nets, I still think this next move is the most surprising of the night. DeAngelo Russell is headed to Golden State. This will fill in for the absence of Klay next year, and the years after will just make them the best shooting team in the league. I think they need to figure some stuff out with the centers, but don't count the Warriors out. They have the best coaching and front office in the league and their dynasty is no where near over in my opinion.

Bucks got Wesley Matthews and that will definitely help getting some shooting going on their team and back into contention for the title.

NBA free agency has been insane so far. I will post another blog once Kawhi decides where he wants to go. If you disagree with me on anything, feel free to talk to me and hash it out.
