It just keeps getting crazier!!!

I thought I wouldn’t have to make another one of these posts about NBA free agency but here we are. The most recent was a huge one and it has made the Western Conference so much more interesting. So let’s break this down and I’m going to make my final pre season pick at the end.

So Russell Westbrook was traded with Chris Paul. He is headed to the Rockets to come back together with his old buddy James Harden. Russell Westbrook is a much better player and so much more athletic than Chris Paul. He is going to thrive in Houston with that already dangerous lineup. The combination of James Harden and Russell Westbrook is going to be so extremely dangerous and even though I hate the Rockets, I can’t wait to see it. On the other end, unless Paul ends up going to a good team, he will end up not being able to win a championship. The Thunder are just too weak and won’t be able to support him. The Rockets however, will be competing for a championship next year.

Now time for my picks. Let’s start with the Western Conference. The Rockets, Clippers, and the Lakers will be competing against each other. Those are the 3 teams I believe have a chance to come out of the West. Now when I make my pick, I want to make it clear that even though I’m picking that team, I still think any of these three teams can rise up and come out. I believe though that the Clippers will come out of the West. I just think they will be too good to match with. The great coach in Doc Rivers, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, and their amazing depth will get them far. Again though, any of these teams could come out of the West.

The East is weak yet again. The Celtics will be decent and the 76ers will come out of the East. They’ve had a great free agency and added more and more people, and I think they will come out of a very weak conference. With KD out, the Nets will only have Kyrie and Jordan, and we all know about Kyrie in the playoffs. So my pre season pick for the championship is 76ers vs Clippers with the Clippers winning in 6. This (should) be the last blog post for NBA free agency, but we will never know.
